It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio play

Apex Theatre Studio will present an encore of last season’s It’s A Wonderful Life: a live radio play on Friday, December 20 and Saturday, December 21 at the Backyard Stage at the Amphitheatre. Tickets are on sale now online on Ticketmaster.com and at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office.

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful night.

“Last year’s one night engagement sold out quickly, so we have added another night to our annual holiday event,” remarked Ian Mairs, managing director.  “The live radio format and 1940s setting will transport the audience back to another time and place. The play’s message has resonated for over seventy-five years because it is timeless,” he added.
