Bard Bus: Hamlet in 75 at St. John’s Cathedral CANCELED

With the onset of the Omicron variant, we feel it is best to cancel this indoor performance of Hamlet in 75.

Please consider joining us for one of our outdoor performances at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre or Johansen Park in Atlantic Beach.

In its fourth year, the Bard Bus presents contemporary touring productions of Shakespeare’s plays for audiences in the North Florida/South Georgia region. “The seventy-five refers to the running time of the performance,” remarked Ian Mairs, Managing Director of Apex Theatre Studio. “We do a lot of school shows, and that is an ideal running time for young audiences. We hope families will venture out to take in this show under the winter stars.”

The production features Apex students, faculty, and guest artists. New York-based actor, Nick Case, plays the title role. A graduate of Penn State’s prestigious theatre program, he has appeared in regional theaters across the country. “It’s exciting to work with such a committed group of young artists,” commented Case. “They are working diligently to bring the text to life as they discover how timely this play can be.”
