Set during World War Two, Kindertransport follows the journey of Eva, a young Jewish girl fleeing Germany under the reign of the Third Reich. The Kindertransport program was an organized rescue effort from Nazi-controlled territory that took place in 1938-1939 during the nine months prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. The United Kingdom took in nearly 10,000 children. The children were places in foster homes, hostels. schools and farms. The play documents the struggles and sacrifices encountered by Eva and her family during and after the war.
