Apex Theatre Studio will present Shakespeare’s hilarious and touching romantic comedy, Twelfth Night on Wednesday, July 19th at 7:30 p.m.  A young woman, Viola, is shipwrecked in a foreign land and separated from her twin brother, dresses as man to enter the service of Orsino, duke of IIlyria. Complication ensue-deceptions, infatuations, misdirected overtures, malevolent pranks as everyone is drawn into the hilarious confusion.

Apex Theatre Studio will revive its production of the off-Broadway hit musical Ride The Cyclone in their Black Box Theatre. The show will run Apex’s black box theatre in St. Augustine on August 10th, 11th, and 12th.             In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other—the chance to return to life. The show is funny, moving look at what makes a life well-lived. Vulture declares the show “both eerie and funny, as well as subversive, serious, touching, and great.”
