But when a late-night Ouija board session proclaims that she will become assistant cheer captain, an unexpected and ridiculous series of supernatural events are triggered. As Beth's thirst for power grows, her moral compass goes into a tailspin -- and her popularity-hungry mom and best friend aren't helping. A campy, female-centered, modernized version of Shakespeare's dark classic.

Apex Theatre Studio will present Shakespeare’s hilarious and touching romantic comedy, Twelfth Night on Wednesday, July 19th at 7:30 p.m.  A young woman, Viola, is shipwrecked in a foreign land and separated from her twin brother, dresses as man to enter the service of Orsino, duke of IIlyria. Complication ensue-deceptions, infatuations, misdirected overtures, malevolent pranks as everyone is drawn into the hilarious confusion.

On December 21st , “It’s A Wonderful Life” the beloved American holiday class, will come to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful night. “We wanted to offer something which allowed families to gather together once all the shopping and the running around have commenced,” remarked Ian Mairs, Director of Apex Theatre Studio. “The live radio format and 1940s setting will transport the audience back to another time and place. The play’s message has resonated for over 75 years because it is timeless,” Mairs added.

The Sound of Music (youth edition) features a treasure trove of songs including Do Re Mi, My Favorite Things, Climb Every Mountain as well as the title song. Olivia DeMaio, a recent graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts will play the role of Maria.
